Evansville Indiana Craigslist Experience

Selling on Craigslist while free, is not worth the latest frustration.

December has not been a good month for me on Craigslist.  It has ruined me from wanting to try to sell anything on there.  Perhaps I’ll give it another break and come back in a few months.

The ability to sell for free is not worth the frustration.

January 2014 Deep Freeze

Sub-zero temperatures have made it hard on everyone in Evansville, IN. The geese seem to be taking it ok, because at least they have a little fresh water to enjoy. This is a video of the lake at Garvin Park, frozen over.

It’s finally starting to warm up in Evansville, at least to the tune of double digits.  Today it actually has hit 30+ degrees, which feels like a heat wave.  The sub-zero temperatures have affected everyone in the Tri-State area, especially plumbers.

This morning, in the building where I work, a sprinkler line burst and flooded an entire office.  My wife’s school had lines bust above her class room.  It’s stressful all around, that’s why at lunch I took a walk in the park, Garvin Park.

The video below shows the geese setting on the ice, warming the lake, and hoping for a thaw.  Thankfully the fountain is still running, so they still have some fresh water to enjoy.

January 2014 Evansville Snow

January 2014 snow finally showing up in Evansville, Indiana. Not nearly as much as promised, but still some snow, and plenty of below zero temperature.

The snow did not show up as soon as the Evansville weathermen promised.  Better late than never?  Also, on the north side, we might have received a half an inch of snow, if that.  But, with all the wind it blew away or drifted up into the corners of the yard.

I’m sure the meteorologists are being heckled right now pretty hard.  One thing they did nail was the frigid temperatures.  Today, Monday the 6th and tomorrow January 7th, EVSC is closed due to the sub zero temps.
