Is it just me or did local news exaggerate the meth lab fire at Motel Manor in Boonville? All over the head lines was EXPLOSION, when really it was a small mishap that caused minmal fire damage. Just seems like poor reporting, when a more accurate headline would have read 'Meth Fire At Motel Manor'.
After seeing video of room 14 where the reported meth production was taken place I didn't notice any damage, besides some light fire damage. Not that this justifies what was going on, personally I'm glad the meth makers are accounted for.
In addition, I was not aware that meth makers made their...

I'm not sure why 1280 AM in Evansville decided to cancel Michael Savage and bring on a poor man's Rush Limbaugh, but they did. I completely understand that Savage is an extremist, but I need him to help balance out what I'm being exposed to every day anyways, the extreme left. Since he's been removed from the line up and he's been replaced with Glen Beck, what am I supposed to get angry about on the way home in the evenings?
I dropped an email to 1280 the week Savage was taken off air, but never received a response. Maybe I was the only one that appreciated the rantings, the anger, the in your...

Christ their prices are getting out of hand. Just last night my wife and I decided to check out Disney's UP and it ended up costing us close to $30 when all was said and done. Consider that the normal charge for a movie is $9 and it's an additional $2.50 per ticket to see a 3D film like UP. Now set back $23.00 I slowly make my way to the snack bar where I have to pony up $5.00 for a small coke and small popcorn.
So, $28 later I'm setting in a cozy theater, decent picture, 3d images, great sound, but drinking water downed coke and stale popcorn. Is it worth it? Money spent does not equal...

Well, one of my great friends snapped this shot with her cell phone from an apartment complex on the East side. To be honest, I think it's a great reminder we all need to heed when going for a public swim. Although while thinking about it, this should apply to more things than just swimming and why doesn't the pool I use have this sign up?
I guess they just don't care.

Has anyone else noticed how cruel and unusual most of the comments are over at CourierPress.com? I mean, it's like the worst of Evansville comes out to leave obscure comments on horrible stories, that no doubt family members are reading. Some of which I'm surprised pass a language filter, but others are just there to be rude.
The Evansville Courier should be taking steps to prevent 50% of those comments from even being published. While automated scripts will catch the curse words, it looks like there needs to be a full time moderator of the site. Someone to hang around and just keep the site...

Yeah, yeah, so I go golfing on a beautiful day and only take one picture. Well, this one picture should put a smile on your face, at least it did the attendant in the club house at Howell Park on Saturday when I went golfing.
Maybe they should take this guy down, it is awfully close to the minature golf course. And perhaps once they finish the pool it will be a lot busier and if you stare long enough it becomes a little offensive( or maybe just intimidating).
