Vectren Tree Trimming for Evansville

Vectren has released their 2014 tree trimming schedule map. Be sure to have your easements clear for trucks and workers to have space and reach your power lines.

Trimming Trees for Power Lines

A few years ago I got my hand slapped by the city of Evansville, mainly because of my bad habits.  I always kept my yard nice, neat and trimmed, but not so much in my easement.  My neighbor wasn't any better, so what happened was our adjoining properties became overgrown with tree limbs, weeds, and the like.  So, I was informed I had to get the easement cleaned up or face fines.

Well, it's that time of year again when Vectren comes around and utilizes these easements to trim tree limbs that could be interfering with their electrical supply.  So it's important to make sure that trucks and workers have plenty of space between your homes to work.  It doesn't have to be as properly landscaped as the front of your house, but make sure there is enough room between properties to actually drive a bucket truck.

Vectren has released a schedule detailing which locations in the Evansville area will be trimmed.  Be prepared or expect to receive a fine.
