It's becoming a popular subject, especially with our friends over seas who are taking to the streets over an increase of 2 years. But here we are, at age 65 at the earliest and we still need to raise the age of compensation for Social Security?
I suggest we eliminate the social security program all together. Give everyone their cut right now in the form of a modified 401K account that they can manage themselves. Furthermore, leave the age where it is for now. I'd suspect in 10 years they could start talking about lowering the age limit to draw, since the money would be growing so much faster.
Less misappropriation of funds I'd think.
